Virginia Bosmin, nee Bernas, 92, lifelong resident of Posen, passed away October 13, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Wesley; loving mother of Shirley (Drew) Roskos and the late Joyce Marie Doesburg; cherished grandmother of Lara Roskos, Johannes IV (Jessica) Doesburg, Alexander Roskos, Juliet Roskos and Jeanna Doesburg; proud great grandmother of Johannes V, Abriella, Dominik, Maverick Doesburg; dearest sister of the late John (the late Theresa), Mitch (the late Juanita), Frank (the late Ruth), Walter (the late Toni), Stanley, Edward (Dottie) Bernas; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Virginia was longtime member of Catholic Women of Mary.
Virginia loved gardening, cooking, cleaning and taking care of her family. She was a longtime member of the Holy Rosary Ladies at St. Stanislaus and was devout to her Catholic faith.
Visitation Friday, October 16th, from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Church, 14414 S. McKinley Ave., Posen, IL 60469. Interment St. Benedict Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, masses or memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or PAWS, 1997 N. Clybourn Ave., Chicago, IL 60614.
Due to current COVID 19 restrictions, no more than 100 guests are allowed at a time in the church. All guests are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing. It is recommended that if you are not feeling well, you should not attend.
