Paul A. Ladislas of Blue Island, formerly of Posen, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2021. Born on April 6, 1931 to Joseph and Yvonne Ladislas, Paul married the love of his life, Ruth Schnering, in 1952. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951 - 1953 working in the ammunition depot. After the war, he worked at Maremont Muffler for 21 years until it closed, Thornridge High School for 20 years, and then St. Stanislaus Elementary School for 10 years before retiring. A tremendous sports fan, Paul cheered on his beloved White Sox and Chicago Bears throughout his lifetime. He also loved working on his jigsaw puzzles and would spend hours each day at his puzzle desk.
Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, dear friend, Dorothy Clark, parents, and brothers, Joseph, Louis, and James. Paul is survived by his two loving sons, Terry (Kathy) and Richard (Sherry); three grandchildren, Casey, Toby, and Emily, as well as six great-grandchildren, and brother, Eugene.
Paul was a wonderful father and grandfather. He was a great man who was admired by everyone who was lucky enough to know and love him. He will be missed by many.
Funeral Service and Interment at St. Benedict Cemetery private. Donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Paul's memory are greatly appreciated.
