Larry "RIP" Rippe

Larry “RIP” Rippe, 69, formerly of Blue Island, passed away Feb. 13, 2019. Beloved husband of Elena, nee Ubaldi; devoted son of Alice and the late Frederick Rippe; loving brother of Linda (the late Romas) Arbataitis and Lee (Cindy) Rippe and brother in law of Francesca (Mike) Guntenspergen and the late Silvio Ubaldi; cherished uncle of Julie (Joe) Helzer, Michael (Katie) Arbataitis, Jason (Sarah) Rippe, Suzanne (Tom) Murray and Jonathan Rippe, Marc (Yunyun) Ubaldi, Erika (Ronnie) Hare and Carrie Guntenspergen (Ryan Duggan, partner); dearest great uncle of  Samantha and Cash Helzer, Maggie and Romas Arbataitis, Isabella Rippe, Danny and Karina Murray, Alexander and Cooper Stone and Mikey Murray, Liliana Hare and Ezio Ubaldi; loving father of his fur baby, Boomer.

Larry was passionate about his family and friends and deeply loved by all who knew him.  He was very generous with his time and shared all the fruits from his garden.  Larry was an excellent gardener and gardening was one of his favorite activities.  He also enjoyed golfing, pizza night and walks on the beach..  He will be profoundly missed and never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4th, 2019 at First Lutheran Church Blue Island, 2519 Grove St., Blue Island.  Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
