Anne Marie (Smaga) Loizon

Anne Marie Loizon, née Smaga, age 85 of Channahon, Illinois, formerly of Posen, Illinois and a native of Italy and France passed away peacefully on October 10th, 2021 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. 

Fond daughter of the late Bruno and Maria; beloved wife of the late Yves; loving mother of Patrick (Carmel), Philippe (Gail), Paul (Melissa), Chantal (James), and Yvette Loizon (David Condron); cherished grandmother of Dana (Andy), Caitlin, Shane (Alyssa), Courtney, Matthew, Parker, Alexandra, Noah, Maria, Rosemary, Joshua, Anna, and Leo; delighted soon-to-be great grandmother. 

Anne Marie was known as “Ging Ging” to all and was a very proud mother and grandmother. Growing up in her household was surely never dull, as she loved her children vehemently. She raised her children to be strong-willed and to always put family first. Ging Ging enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in all of their endeavors, attending many games and performances through the years. She will be remembered for her beautiful waltzes, honest advice, and her incredible tenacity. 

Funeral will be held on Monday, October 18th, 2021, 9:15 A.M. from Adduci-Zimny Funeral Home, 14522 S. Western Avenue, Posen to St. Stanislaus Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M.  Interment at St. Benedict Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17th from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M.
