Rose Parchem

Rose “Rosie” Parchem passed away on November 5, 2026, in Posen, Illinois, after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 5, 1955, in Harvey, Illinois.

Rosie attended Mother of Sorrows High School in Blue Island. Over the years, she worked at Modern Drop Forge and at Formal Plastics. She will be remembered for the simple things she enjoyed and the warmth she brought to everyday life. Rosie liked doing word searches, playing board games, watching game shows, taking long walks, going camping, and spending time with animals, especially cats.

Above all, Rosie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Terrance Jr., Robert, Sarah, and Thomas, who were a treasured part of her life. She is also survived by her grandchild, London LaPine, who brought her great love and pride.

Rosie will also be dearly missed by her sisters, Cathy, Henrietta, Louise, Christine, and Virginia. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Stempien, and her mother, Hattie Stempien.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on November 15, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Adduci-Zimny Funeral Home, 14522 S Western Ave, Posen, IL 60469.

Rosie will be remembered with love for her caring heart, her enjoyment of life’s quiet pleasures, and the place she held in the lives of those who knew her. Her memory will remain close to her family and friends always.
