Paul G. Prefontaine, 70, longtime resident of Posen, passed away August 23, 2020.  Beloved husband of Nancy M., nee Palac; loving father of Zack (Charnai) and the late Holly; dearest brother of Virginia Prefontaine, Michelle (Robert) Ward and the late Frederick "Butch" Prefontaine Jr.; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Paul retired from Commonwealth Edison after 35 years of service as a hydraulic mechanic.  He had a passion for antique cars and owned one for a good portion of his adult life.  Paul was an extremely talented wood worker and made most of the furniture in his family's home.  He also loved sports, especially baseball and was a fan of most of Chicago's teams.  His beloved Cubs, however, were his favorite.

Friends and family will gather Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 for visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Hickey Memorial Chapel, 4201 147th St., Midlothian.  Interment to follow at St. Benedict Cemetery.
