Julius Gaza Liptak, Sr. "Butch," age 80. Late of Lansing, IL, formerly of Riverdale and Chicago's Roseland neighborhood, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. He was born on February 25, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Matthew and Ethel (nee Ulbrich) Liptak. Butch was married to the love of his life, Virginia "Ginny" (nee Sandstrom) for 60 years before her passing in 2020. Devoted father of Susan Liptak-Liston, Julius "Butch" Jr. (Nikki), Matthew (Pam Barba), and Deborah (Richard Furmanek); loving grandfather of Cassie and Brody Liston, AJ Liptak, Brandon Memenga, Thomas, Matthew and Emily Liptak, Zachary and Jacob Furmanek; great grandfather of Thomas Liptak Jr. and Ashton Koester. Former owner of Danny's Pizza in Calumet Park, Illinois. Butch will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family, faith, and listening to Elvis Presley.
