Juan González, nacido el 11 de octubre de 1964 en Celaya, México, falleció repentinamente el 14 de junio de 2026 en Dixmoor, Illinois. Mecánico automotriz autodidacta, Juan encontraba una gran satisfacción en su trabajo. Su pasión iba más allá de su propia habilidad; disfrutaba compartiendo sus conocimientos con sus amigos, enseñándoles pacientemente cómo reparar sus vehículos. Esta generosidad de espíritu reflejaba su carácter: siempre dispuesto a ayudar y apoyar a quienes apreciaba.
Juan sentía un inmenso orgullo por su familia. Sus hijos y nietos eran su mayor logro, el corazón y el alma de su vida. Uno de sus rasgos más entrañables era su costumbre de poner apodos cariñosos a cada uno de ellos, un testimonio del profundo vínculo que valoraba dentro de su círculo familiar. Entre quienes le sobreviven se encuentran su amada esposa, Maria Elena Tamayo; sus devotas hijas—Carmen (Eduardo) Lagos, Cely González (Felipe Calderón) y Dulce González (Efrén Beltrán)—y sus queridos nietos—Melany, Jayden, Damian, Gael, Adrian, Julian, Diego, Ximena, Alan, Kamila, Matías y Katalina—quienes continúan su legado y su amor.

La velación se llevará a cabo el jueves 18 de junio, de 4:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m., en Adduci-Zimny Funeral Home, 14522 S. Western Ave., Posen. Las oraciones en la capilla serán a las 9:00 a. m. el viernes 19 de junio, seguidas por el traslado a la Parroquia St. Augustine, 4130 147th St., Midlothian, para la Misa de Exequias Cristianas a las 10:00 a. m. Posteriormente, el sepelio tendrá lugar en el Cementerio St. Casimir.
Juan Gonzalez, born on October 11, 1964, in Celaya, Mexico, passed away suddenly on June 14, 2026, in Dixmoor, Illinois. His unexpected departure left a void that deeply touches all who knew him. Known for his remarkable kindness and infectious sense of humor, Juan brought joy and warmth to everyone around him.
A self-taught auto mechanic, Juan found great fulfillment in his work. His passion extended beyond his personal skill; he delighted in sharing his knowledge with friends, patiently teaching them how to repair their vehicles. This generosity of spirit exemplified his character—always ready to help and uplift those he cared about.
Juan took immense pride in his family. His children and grandchildren were his greatest accomplishment, the heart and soul of his life. One of his most endearing traits was his habit of bestowing affectionate nicknames upon each of them, a testament to the deep bond he cherished within his family circle. Among those who survive him are his beloved wife, Maria Elena Tamayo; his devoted daughters—Carmen (Eduardo) Lagos, Cely Gonzalez (Felipe Calderon), and Dulce Gonzalez (Efren Beltran), and his cherished grandchildren—Melany, Jayden, Damian, Gael, Adrian, Julian, Diego, Ximena, Alan, Kamila, Matias and Katalina—who carry forward his legacy and love.
Beyond his role as a father and grandfather, Juan had a zest for life that shone through his hobbies. He loved to immerse himself in movies and series and found great pleasure in listening to rock music, passions that offered him solace and enjoyment throughout his life. These simple joys reflected a man who embraced life fully and found happiness in everyday moments.
Juan was preceded in death by his beloved father, J. Jesus Gonzalez Lara, his cherished mother, Ma. Irma Morin Olivera, and his dear son, Rafael Tamayo. Their memory lived on in him and, through him, in the hearts of all who knew his story.
His laughter, kindness, and gentle spirit remain vibrant in the memories of his family and friends. Though Juan is no longer with us, the love he shared and the lessons he imparted continue to inspire and uplift those fortunate enough to have been part of his life. His presence, marked by warmth and humor, will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18th, 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Adduci-Zimny Funeral Home, 14522 S. Western Ave., Posen. Chapel prayers at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19th to St. Augustine Parish, 4130 147th St., Midlothian for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Casimir Cemetery.
