John T Gibson age 71 of Chicago, IL passed away 8/21/26 at VA Hines hospice after courageously battling cancer for five years. John is the father of John Jr, Jennifer, Jason, and Joshua. John had 5 siblings: Mary, Jim, Bob, Helen, and Barb.
Friends and family will meet on Tuesday, September 1st, at 12:00 Noon for Military Honors to take place at 12:30 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL. Please gather at the main entrance where cemetery staff will direct family and friends to a specific line. The cemetery staff will lead the procession into the cemetery at the appropriate time.
