El viernes 5 de diciembre de 2025, familiares y amigos se reunirán en la Parroquia de San Agustín (anteriormente Parroquia de San Cristóbal), 4130 147th Street, Midlothian, para la Misa de Entierro Cristiano a las 11:00 a. m. A continuación, el entierro tendrá lugar en el Cementerio de San Casimiro.

Jair was a graduate of Bremen High School, having previously attended Back of the Yards High School for his initial years. His passion for music was evident, and he was proud to be a talented guitarist and singer, inspired by his grandfather, Raymundo Ortega, who he inherited his talents from. Jair was the founder of the band Certez and they showcased their versatility at various events, including church services, funerals, and parties. Music was not just a talent for Jair; it was a profound aspect of his identity, providing him an avenue to connect and share joy with others.
In addition to his musical pursuits, Jair worked in the construction field, particularly within the siding industry. His outgoing nature, sense of humor, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was described as a very humble yet humorous individual, making friends wherever he went. Jair's ability to bring happiness to those around him will be sorely missed.
Jair is survived by his loving family, including his father, Raymundo Ortega, and his mother, Dulce Ramirez. He leaves behind his sisters, Erica, Victoria, Valeria, Naret and Karina Ortega, as well as a niece, Miranda Daylin; his grandparents, Raymundo Ortega, Felix Hernandez, Abel Ramirez, and Carmen Carrillo. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will remember him fondly.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hope Center, located at 2552 135th St, Blue Island. THERE IS NO PARKING OR PERMIT PARKING ONLY ON 135TH. THE ONLY PARKING AVAILABLE IS ON OLD WESTERN AVENUE IN BLUE ISLAND. On Friday, December 5, 2025, friends and family will meet at St. Augustine Parish (formerly St. Christopher Parish), 4130 147th Street, Midlothian, for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Casimir Cemetery.
Jair's vibrant spirit and loving presence will be deeply missed, but his musical legacy and the memories shared will continue to resonate within the hearts of those who loved him.
