George Parobek Sr. Ph..D., United States Veteran, age 87, late of Posen, formerly of Dolton and Chicago's South Deering neighborhood. Cherished husband of the late Sophie (nee Spytko); loving father of George Jr. (Pamela), Jean (James) Dagenais, Theresa (Vincent) Mendez, the late Robert (Linda), Randy and Timothy; loving step-father of Sandra Gutierrez; beloved by many grand children, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and Sophia his dog. George was an avid reader and considered by many to be a lifelong "professional" student. Resting at the Adduci-Zimny Funeral Home , 14522 S Western Avenue, Posen, IL on Tuesday, August 13th from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Service at 7:30 p.m. Private Interment St. Benedict Cemetery, Alsip, IL, Section 6A, Block 10, Lot 1, Grave 12.
