Bernardina Fernandez Vergara

Bernardina "Nardy" Frenandez Vergara, age 75, of Chicago, passed away June 9, 2025.  Beloved wife of the late Rafael Rodriguez Vergara; loving mother of Rafael (Martha) Vergara, Jessica A.(Jose) Munoz, Antonio R. (Tabatha) Vergara and Cynthia R. Vergara; cherished grandmother of Tai Vergara (Roland), Aelia Munoz, Arlene (Devin) McGovern, Ricardo Rafael (Emilia) Cruz, William Luis (Samantha) Perez, Ryan Eric Vergara, Jazmine Marie Perez, Olivia Rose Vergara, Kayla Alexis Vergara and Juno Trejo; devoted daughter of the late Amalia and Basilio Fernandez; dearest sister of Blanca Iris (Miguel Angel) Fernandez, Felicita Fernandez (Cristolban), Luz Elena Fernandez (German), Andres Fernandez (Regina) and Juan Bautista Fernandez (Rosa)

Nardy loved her family unconditionally and with all her heart. She was always willing to help others and welcomed everyone with open arms. She loved cooking for the family, arts and crafts, playing Bingo and going to the Casino. Earned her Master's Degree from North Park College in Chicago.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th,  11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Adduci-Zimny Funeral Home , 145221 S. Western Ave., Posen. A Celebration of Life event will be held Saturday June 21st, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the home of  Rafael Vergara, 5114 N. Natoma Ave., Chicago. Inurnment of cremated remains Tuesday, July 1st at 2:00 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL
