Charles W. Hackett Jr.

Charles W. Hackett Jr., 66, resident of Victory Centre of Park Forest, passed away September 21, 2018.  Devoted son of the late Charles W. Hackett Sr. and the late Mildred Hackett, nee Joniak; beloved brother of Kathleen (the late Frank) Medina and the late Frank Hackett Sr.; loving uncle of Frank Hackett Jr., Nicholas (Monica) Medina and Adam Medina; cherished great uncle of Ariana, Daniella, Nicholas Jr. and Francelia "Frankie" Medina.  

Charles's greatest passion was time spent with his family, especially his great nieces and nephew who brought him extra special pride and joy.  Whether it was a family party or just hanging out and relaxing, Charles savored his family time.  Watching Sunday football was also a favorite event for Charles, particularly watching The Chicago Bears with a cold beer and maryjane.  He relished football jerseys and Nike gym shoes and was an avid rap and rock and roll fan.  The louder the music the better.  Some challenges kept Charles in nursing care for many years where he lived simply, yet fully.  

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 27th, 3:00 - 8:00 pm at Adduci-Zimny Funeral Home, 14522 S. Western Ave. Posen.  Friends and family will meet at St. Paul Catholic Church, 206 E. 25th St., Chicago Heights on Friday, September 28th for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.  Following the Mass, friends and family will meet at 1:30 PM inside of the front entrance gate of Resurrection Cemetery, 7201 Archer Rd, Justice (maps will be available at the church).
