Barbara Ann “Nana” Cain, 72, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019. She was the beloved daughter to Roy and Coletta (Holthouser) Cain on December 14, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky. She eventually found her way to Illinois and made a place to call home for her and her family. She worked as a manager for Wendy’s for 8 years and upheld the life long career of world’s greatest Nana. Her hobbies included cooking, dancing/singing (off rhythm), and being everyone’s personal cheerleader at all sporting event. She was a devoted member of the Lighthouse Church of All Nations and spent numerous hours working with the children’s ministries. Barb will be remembered for her breakfast/pedicure dates, car rides spent jamming to Meghan Trainor, holiday feasts (including the numerous hours spent decorating), her infamous “brows”, and Hallmark and Lifetime movie marathons. She will be remembered most for the compassion and love she blessed us all with. The sass that made Nana a force to reckon with. The willingness to try anything her crazy grandkids asked of her. And the devotion to God that allowed her to make 72 years full of great memories here on Earth. Survivors include her 6 children, William Stillwell, Charlie (Debbie) Stillwell, Stayce (Parlo Smith) Saaydeh, Barbie (Dave Jelley) Schutzius, Cindy (Tony) Alarcon, and Sandy Stillwell; brothers, John “Pat” Dougherty, Michael Cain; sister, Stella Adams; numerous grand and great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Coletta Cain; mother-in-love, Jewell Stillwell; and grandchildren Christopher Schutzius and Amanda Saaydeh. VISITATION will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 2:00-8:00 PM at Adduci-Zimny Funeral Home, 14522 Western Ave., Posen. Family and friends will gather at Lighthouse Church of All Nations, 4501 W 127th Street, Alsip, on Sunday beginning at 3:00 p.m. until the time of Services at 5:00 p.m. MEMORIALS in Barbara’s name could be directed to The Alzheimer’s Association.
