Carlene (Carlson) Miller

Carlene (Carlson) Miller, age 69, of Posen, died peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024 at South Suburban Hospital after a long battle with colon cancer. Carlene was born on October 11, 1954. She was one of six children to Albert and Stephanie Carlson. She married Richard "Butch" Miller in 1974, and they had their only child Tracy. Carlene is survived by her daughter, Tracy Miller (Bryan Ward); her partner Carlos Dealba; her granddaughters Sabrena (Logan) Rooker and Alexa Snider; her siblings, Christine (Chuck) Harding, Donna Carlson (Rey) Lopez, Jimmy Carlson (Liz Watson), Nancy Carlson (Paul) Grossman, Marilyn (Neil) Doermann; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Butchie Miller; her parents, Stephanie and Albert Carlson; many aunts and uncles; and her dogs, Ginger, Lassie, and Taylor. 

Carlene was a woman who exuded joy and laughter in every room she entered, brightening the lives of all those around her. She found immense pleasure in the simple joys of life – gathering with loved ones for a home-cooked meal, painting her nails, and basking in the companionship of her beloved dogs.  Her love for family and her many friends was boundless, and she cherished the phone calls with, and moments spent in the company of her daughter, sisters, nieces, and granddaughters. Carlene possessed a curious spirit, always eager to know everything about everyone and engage in meaningful conversations.  Her home was a hub of warmth and happiness, where countless cherished memories were made during holiday celebrations and family gatherings. Carlene’s generosity and hospitality were limitless as she hosted gatherings that left an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to attend.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 p.m (CST) at Adduci-Zimny Funeral Home, 14522 S. Western Ave. in Posen, IL.

Carlene’s presence touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever be treasured by all those who had the honor of knowing her. In her passing, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and endless affection for those she held dear.
